They say to write a poem you must always use your mind.
So why do words just come to me when my mind is left behind?
I go to sleep, or so I think, and then they rush inside my head.
They swirl around my brain and engulf me while in bed.
The words, they come and fill my mind, never to be stopped.
I fill the pages of my book but still from my pen, they hopped
From page to page they just keep coming releasing the pain.
I want to stop, to rest my mind, but the words, they fill my brain.
See the words are subconsiously my release, they make me see who I can be.
See the words, they take away my pain and put it onto my paper
The words are mindlessly my release, bleeding through the paper.
