Fragrant Silence

Fragrant silence,
Scented,
With hope, and memories seemingly nonchalant in violence

Melancholy breeze,
Attempted,
To soothe, to heal, old sins we breathed

Winter rain,
Relented,
And cleansed this nicotine heart again

December sun
Lamented,
Our love, our dream, lives lived, lives done

Whispering darkness,
Cemented,
Us together, with Time so endless

Crooked Age,
Relented,
Invited death to remember us on this page
