Jack And The Unicorn, Ride

Today is the day I learn to ride,
I have been waiting so long for this time,
We have a bound the beast with an ancient rhyme,
Now the moonlight unicorn is surely mine.

She whinnies and calls in the remains of the night,
To the little people, pixie & sprite,
Her beautiful horn sparkling gold,
Her magic; eternal powers untold.

At eight o'clock the fairy bells ring,
At eight o'clock the siren sings,
At eight o'clock Jack's hands are free,
At eight o'clock she belongs to me.

The witches circle has been made,
The wizards sticks have been laid,
The runestones thrown, future decides,
On my honour the world resides.

If I tame the beast, our lives will be saved,
If she runs, if she falls, long lives Mankind.

At dawn, the unicorn awaits the test,
To remain calm, to keep very still is best,
Jack won't hurt you, he won't scare you girl,
I am light as a feather, and I can ride you well.

The unicorn bows.
I bow in return,
And the sun is lost behind the clouds.

The unicorn walks,
I walk closer still,
There can be only one winner in this game of wills.

Unicorn, close your eye.
Do not pity me, but try,
To see this as your chance to die.

What is life without death?
What is fantasy without reality?

Unicorn, see us both as one,
And this last battle will be done.

Man's champions bang their shields,
Jack's monsters sense the kill,
The unicorn raises its head in defiance,
I swing Fate's sword for the Devil's alliance.

But this war, of course, is eternal.
I know this, and so does she,
We are all lovers infernal,
In this world lost in tragedy.

Planets revolve,
Universe poised,
In implosion or explosion,
Life & death, in eternal motion,
Bound forever, Truth & Lies,
