Milk

Life,
I can taste, drinking
Milk, drunk lazily,
In a field, one day,
Is spilt, in a drop,
On grass, which stays
'til night, 'til darkness falls,
And a mouse, from a nest
Crawls, out of his hole,
Scenting something very unusual;
Food in a lick he has never known;
Milk, in a drip, on his tongue, filled
With a life of a cow in a field
Of grass, like this one now, but then
A fox springs! Life extinguished
In a second. The mouse; finished
The fox; wishes the mouse wasn't
So skinny; barely a dinner, but...
Milk tastes nice on mouses dead lips;
Then, the fox runs, from the field,
Across a road, dead; killed by
A screaming beast with sunlight
Beaming from two vast eyes,
It's no surprise the fox; lies flat
The beast; disappears in a flash
And at dawn, a red kite circles,
Lands, eats flesh from foxes lips,
Tastes milk, takes fox to a field
And drinks lazily his fill of the foxes
