Have you ever held such a secret?
Such a secret that would surely reek havoc if set loose.
Such a secret that would surely kill an angel heart,
One that would shock all those around you.
Such a secret is almost a curse,
Kept, held onto tightly, an old coin shut in a purse.
Such a secret that twists and turns you,
Turns your plain white canvas into a nightmare.
Well I have such a secret,
I'm not all I seem.
Few think they know me, fewer truly do,
But none know such a secret exists.
A dark and deepened shadow cast inside,
Such a secret casts such a shadow.
Covers, smothers and grows,
Such a secret I keep, a secret that nobody knows.
