Reminisce

It comes suddenly with a release of shock...
Like a landslide, or a hurricane.
The unexpected takes hold of you,
Leaving you now standing with a barren heart..

the soul grips onto ideas and notions,
The outlandish thoughts now become possibilities.
It's those thoughts that give the burdens relief,
And the soul a little peace.

Like the booming sound of the passing train,
Or the feeling of the ocean depths taking your breath.
It crumbles your pillar of strength ,
Now leaving you in the midst of despair..

The reminiscence of your loved one
Quenches your very thirst,
But tears the seams that keep you in tact.
And the future that once was clear is now fogged..

But as you stand at the headstone,
You slowly relive each moment with them
And now the days that won't be the same..
Wishing for more time as each tear falls.

But the burdened will find peace,
The poor in spirit will find life again,
Because every living being sees death,
And through love of each other brings life.

Dedicated to Grandpa Red..
Thank you grandpa for loving us and bringing life into our homes and hearts. You pushed us to be bigger and better in all that we do. To work hard and never give up. I can't wait to see you at the Golden Gates of Heaven. Love, Laur Laur.

It's so different with you not around, but I know you're in the sky. I know you're watching all of us and helping us get by.

Have You In My Heart

Have you in my heart. Even though, you're up there with god. I miss you now. Wanna give you a hug and smile. Almost in tears. You're beside me. Such a wonderful man. I know you'd love to see.

No One But You

A hand above the water. An angel reaching for the sky. Is it raining in heaven. Do you want us to cry. And everywhere the broken hearted. On every lonely avenue. No one could reach them.

I'm Still Here

I am the whisper in your ear, on dark and lonely nights. I am the breeze across your brow, and the hope you hold so tight. I am the brightness in the shadows, the ray of peaceful light.

White Rose

A thorn for the pain. Torn from me in just one day. A week spent with you. Just me, just you. You waited to move along. You were just so strong. But then I came home. And you were gone.

Forgiven

Can you be forgiven, If the person isn't here. Their aura still a presence, A memory so clear. A friendship was not two way, I never knew it then. But now I cannot call him, Or ask him why and when.
