Daywalker and Darkman were musing over lunch
Bacon sarnies I believe, rind with extra crunch
I believe, said Darkman slowly, that if you left the light
The world would be a better place, everlasting night
Most people feel that they can seal away their heart's desires
The black and evil twisted thoughts that would make their souls catch fire
So what say you, the Daywalker, will you come with me awhile?
Your garish light's not worth the fight
Try a different style
He finished off his sandwich then the Daywalker spoke
You must have me mistaken for a complicated bloke
For me the choice is easy, to me the people say
Even in our darkest hour, won't you light our way?
Even though your offer's tempting and a change good as a rest
I really must decline because for most, a light is best
I understand that struggle, the war 'twixt love and hate
Can't you see folk turn to me
To illuminate
Both our arguments are sound but we can't be telling lies
We can't give immortality when everybody dies
So with all the bacon finished
They went their separate ways
And their eternal battle
Will last 'til End of Days
