They don't own me
they never have
I've been braking their rules
Going behind their backs.
They tried to take her away
the only thing I cared for.
So I went in her place
something that's never been done before.
I will probably die, I'll never see them again.
So I take one last look as the train pulls away.
I don't want to go.
I want to stay with her, I want to stay.
There is another boy from my district.
He says he remembers me.
I remember him, but I don't want to.
I want to be away from here, free.
They dressed me up like a doll
so they could put me on show.
They act like its a game
but they don't know.
They don't know,
of the pain thats caused,
The lives that are ruined,
The moment they open those doors.
But I will stand
And fight to survive.
Because I promised her
I will come back alive.
