Inspired by The Hunger Games
The girl walks into the arena,
Tense worried and scared
Fighting to kill all around her,
But with a lover she is paired.
As she runs into the woods
She scrambles up a tree.
People below shriek blood thirstily,
They are opponents she will soon have to see.
A few days later, still alive,
The mocking jay is safe and sound,
The opponents are decreasing in number,
Her ally Rue, in sleep she is bound.
She sees the spear soar by quickly,
Sink in to Rue's chest.
An arrow through the murderers heart
As the girl cries at her best.
later on now, three contestants left.
Katniss, Peeta ,Cato.
Suddenly Katniss gets the opportunity
To kill him with her bow.
He grabs Peeta and squeezes,
Defying him of air.
Peeta makes a cross on his arm
And the arrow sinks in there.
No winning melody sings,
Peeta and Katniss confused,
So out comes the lethal berries,
The Capitol are not amused.
