I don't want to be
Another summer fling,
Caught up in the moment,
Making alarm bells ring.
Your fiery summer love,
Dwindles by the day.
Your losing interest,
Need another prey.
Don't discard me quickly,
Like a summer romance,
After a couple of dates,
And a long slow dance.
You're hungry for change,
Your summer love gone,
I'm just part of the fun,
Something that shone.
I have now joined,
The ever growing line,
Of past summer flings,
But to you that's fine.
