Who Says Kids Are Too Young For Love?

Interesting debate - you always come up with interesting questions! I wonder how you could prove little kids aren't just copying? I read somewhere once that humans only start to love at 7-8 years old... What do you reckon is the truth in that?

@naaviie yes I read recently that children don't understand the emotion of love until round about that age. Before that eg babies just know that you are an important face. It takes children many years to grasp the concept of different emotions that's why we have tantrums etc. good post Meg :)

Someone once told me love as a child is retractable. i.e, "I love you until you take away my xbox". But in terms of romantic, absolute and all consuming love? I think both young people and adults confuse this with infatuation. And I think as a child or adolescent who has'nt experienced many relationships, it's a confusion easily made. Then again, I could be totally wrong 😔. Just saying...
