[The lights slowly brighten as the audience finds a young couple alone, having a picnick near a tree]
Tammy: [in a shallow voice] I can't believe tommarows the last day...
Mark: [Holding Tammys hand] Not if I can help it, Tam-tam. It's us that should be wed, not you and that buffoon of a man!
Tammy: [resting her head on Mark's shoulder] I know mark, but I know much better then to deny my father's wishes! Can we not enjoy this day, because it is our last as a couple?
Mark: [his tone sad and slow] Yes, Tammy. Let's enjoy our relationships dying day, for it will never see the light of another day.
[Tammy and Mark sadly lift a wine glass and clink them bolth together, then drink heartidly, trying to drown there sadness in the strong liqour]
Tammy: [smiling sadly] I think it's dying wish was... This...
[Tammy and Mark start kissing as Father walks in, angry]
Father: [walking to stand over Tammy] TAMETHA JULIANE KINDLER!
Tammy: [quickly standing up with Mark] Father! This isn't what it looks like!
Father: [striking Tammy across the face] YOU TRAMP! YOU ARE COMING HOME WITH ME!
[Tammy starts to cry as she races off, and Father is left glaring at Mark.]
Father: [whispers loudly] I will have you hanged for this, you traitor. [walks briskly off]
[Mark is left standing there, dumbfounded, as the lights slowly dim out]
