teenager.

Yes, I am a teenager,
But I'm not just what you think.
Don't stereotype what you don't know,
I'm not some missing link.

I don't drink or smoke or party too much,
It's fine if you don't believe me.
I'm a mystery to everyone,
So learn to love what you can't see.

I don't sneak out late at night,
Though I may lie once in a while.
I know I have good judgement,
So don't treat me like a child.

I may not be an adult,
But I have important things to say.
Take your own advice and listen
To the sound of my dismay.

I may mess up from time to time,
I'm not the smartest in the world.
But that doesn't make me a bad kid,
I'm just a curious girl.

Yes, I am a teenager,
But that doesn't mean a thing.
So ask me how I am today,
And we'll see what my future brings.

I believe in John Lennon because he told me all I need is love, & to me that seems pretty accurate.

How are you today, and what's on your mind?

@VikingHorn I'm very well, haha. Thank you for asking. All that's on my mind is sleeeeep.

@maisiebeth Not a stereotype, just biological fact, teenagers need a lot of sleep. Both body and brain are undergoing major remodeling. Sleep well, and delight us tomorrow!

@VikingHorn a very true fact. I will try my best 😁
