How to know what is and isn't,
All the eternities utterred and promises forgiven.
Shiver each day with hope scarring,
Deepening the doubt of the future marring.
A pair it is, dark and light,
Like masks of eternal strength and power.
Get them to agree and you can do anything,
But they never do, and that's joy...for someone so unclever.
Writing a symphony of carvings on rocks,
Years and years of practice now gone.
The world is the same,
It's we who kill it.
"Now the world's the same.
There's just less in it."
I feel afraid to let out supernatural truths,
And so do you.
For if we do, just how long will you run?
We can't outrun the world.
It is our power to shape the destinies forward,
But does killing the dark, mean killing the world?
As we look back on the horrors, the ghosts of our past.
We shiver... Fearing, facing the pain once more.
We made the world a quarter less,
And the world has less once more.
"By and by there'll be none at all."
Unless you catch hold of the oar.
