One went east
One went west
One found life
One found death

Some come to a crossroads alone
Life often throws a bad dog a bone
Some will bury it for future feasting
Others devour it to be pleasing

One went up
One went down
One found heaven
One found hell all around

Some see the path ahead and smile
Some lost souls wander in denial
We all need some love and hope
Before we're strangled by the rope

One went bad

One found love
One found hate

Some love to hate on others
Life evolves from sisters and brothers
We all should help and guide and nurture
Those that cannot see a clear future

One went in
One found doubt
One found loving

We all have masks and disguises
In the company of others full of surprises
Alone at home we become our true selfs at ease
Nobody around to smile or to please

One went and found out
What life was really about
One came back and smiled
Knowing life can be fake for a while
Remembering friends who come and go
Certain one's live life as only some one's know
