Trapped

"Let me in!" they shouted angrily while frantically knocking at the door.
I shoved furniture against the door to keep them out. I leaned against the corner of the room, crying hysterically. I slid to the cold grey floor, instantly sending a chill up my spine. I put my head on my knees trying to keep the walls from spinning around me. My blood red hair stuck to my face. Suddenly the knocking stopped. I stood quickly, aggravating my pounding head and numb body.
I looked through the peep hole and saw no one. This calmed me a bit but I was too smart to be tricked, too untrusting to open the door. I laid on the ground sending more shivers up my spine. I curled in the fetal position, pulling my black pullover sweatshirt over my cold exposed knees. I wasn't able to relax, too many things were running through my mind. Before I knew it, I was asleep.

Too late.

He sat in the back row of the buzzing classroom, in the far corner, watching. No one noticed him. No one noticed his eyes shift from person to person, taking in every little detail.
