Beloved

The peace of home,
My balanced own
Where I can hide
And long inside,
Without the fear
Of being hurt
By those most dear,
I can invert.

Comfortably alert,
Aware of me,
My own dessert,
Beloved I be,
Be I free,
Free from the apple of my eye,
My burning fire
Of desire
Will never cease to try,
But no one can quite love me,
Like I love me.

As much a man as I do see,
I am a man as much to he,
I bare him all my entity
And wear does he my energy.
Though I may not cry,
And though I'll never cease to try
No one can quite love me,
Like he will love me.

Stranger

Look at me - What do you see. Is it vacant eyes, A mouth capturing lies. Or a warm heart, Laughter lines like art, A gentle smile, Or a glare to run a mile.

Am I merely an ornate thing. To hang upon your arm. Someone you just want to show off. My heart is full of alarm. Am I merely an ornate thing. That you admire when you see fit.

Insecurity

I ask of you only to conceal my rage, a task so simple, for the world is not a stage. I ask that my pride be served to a lesser degree, for the sight from my eyes, is for my eyes only to see.

Weak

I have to be a strong father, husband, son for I am a man. I pray for a sign, a show of strength, anything that lets me know there's a plan. My friends, my family all offer their shoulder.

On The Wings Of Shared Humanity

Sit down and ponder with me life's small and weighty matters. Does the death of a man or beast or flea leave an angels heart in tatters. What if I were to tell you my deepest darkest fears.

I Want.

I want to see what I look like through other peoples eyes. I want to see if they can see what lies beneath. I want to see if they can see what I'm hiding.
