Sitting beside the warm BBQ
Content from a full belly
Although there's a chill
And nothing on the telly
I'm in a happy place
I feel so at ease
Glad to just kick back
Feel an inner peace
With music of all genres
Echoing behind my ears
I sit in my own bubble
Watching as the clouds clear
The moon peeps from behind
To welcome me to the night
The chilliness nips at my heels
My wrap I snuggle in tight
Should I be so lucky
To see a shooting star?
Only the night sky above
Holds that secret from afar
So with my wrap of warmth
I'll sit and wait a while
Just me and the moon
Watch each other and smile
