Look Into My Eyes

Look into my eyes what do you see?
An oppressed person or a spirit that is free?
Look into my eyes have I a story to be told?
Will I die young or die when I get old?
My life, will it be happy and not one full of strife?
Do you see in me the makings of a loyal loving wife?
Maybe you see only a life blighted by pain and misery?
Full of long lost hopes, shattered dreams, that's in store for me
Look into my eyes, the mirror into my soul
Am I damaged goods or a person that is whole?
Will I feel a child grow inside my womb?
Or will it be like a desolate never used tomb?
Whatever you do see, it must never pass your lips
Out of the cup of blissful ignorance I will take my sips

Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.

There's Only So Far:

There's only so far I'm willing to go. Only so much weight I'm willing to throw. So much space for me left to grow. So much time spent not high, but low. There's only so long I'm willing to wait.

Mirror #2

Written for some photos I have just taken. Look in their eyes. You'll find all the lies. All the hopes and dreams. The tears run in streams. Lying to themselves all this time.

Complex.

People try to sum up their life,. With songs, words or pictures,. But if your mind is partly complex,. I guess it would be a mixture,. Not one line can describe me,. No word is perfectly right,.

Invisible Is Me

Can you hear my voice. Do you know my face. Do you know my words. Or am I merely waste. Will I ever shine. Will people know my name. Will I ever be proud. Or hang my head with shame.

Masked

Locked inside my mind; The outward visage, a masquerade, Shows no resemblance of the soul. Tear it open. Rip from us our masks; They cover the scars of reality, The true impact of life.

Finding The Girl!

I walked into a room which I've seen before but it has a different significance now. I saw a girl standing there before me, she looked different from the last time I stumbled upon her.

Me. I am you. I am both my mums and dads and theirs also. I am the brothers and sisters I grew up with and the dog I grew close too.
