Silly little white lies poured
Over black, black wounds
Understanding comes at a price
Little did I know about the truth
Making greyest of greys on hurt
As ever, I relearned distrust
Telling me to listen all along
Everything you said, falsefalsefalse
Said we were soulmates. Liar.
Somewhere along the sunset dream
Our paths diverged, pulled
Us apart, but it was natural, smooth
Languidly, almost- we never did
Mind, we were better as friends
Ate me inside for a while, I admit
'Till I saw the truth, and was okay
Even though it isn't like that anymore
Still we remain, tied-by-the-soul friends.
(I'm sorry! I wrote two and couldn't decide! :O If you read this, will you tell me which you prefer? Much thanks!)
