Old Wisdom

I know this old lady with white hair.
Her eyes still sharp and skin still fair.
She tells me stories from the early years.
As I listen with open ears.
You see the experience in her eyes.
Her words so knowing and so wise.
I know this old lady that you should meet.
She is so kind and her tea is so sweet.
Her life is coming to an end.
But all her time was so well spend.
She did it all and knows it all.
Because she learned how to fall.
She is how ever older person should be.
I just love the things she tells to me.
Now she's gone and I'm so sad.
Because I miss her so very bad.
She taught me things I will always keep.
Because these stories go so deep.
You're gone but never far away.
And I'll miss you every single day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
for grandma, because she told me the greatest stories when I was young. I will never forget her and her stories. She was such a kind person! It's been 6 years but I still miss her.
