I think, when I become a parent I will observe my child's actions rather than acting on an assumption. I think I will try to understand them and realize that when they need to be let go, I will let go. I will raise my kids not with the intention of giving them what I didn't have but what they need. I promise that when I have my children I will raise them as best as I can. I won't be selfish, I won't be cruel, I won't be passive, I won't be absent. I will be Mom. I promise.
