Once you were whole,
Now you rest in pieces,
What happened that night,
To make these glass creases,
Splitters sprout from the frame,
Once strong arms of peace,
Now laid on the floor,
Covered in haunted grease,
A happy face gone cold,
A darkness in those eyes,
I remember them of old,
They once held fireflies,
Just a shabby paper square,
Once holding memories,
So carefully held there,
But just a careless knock,
You lay shattered on the floor,
I just stand without shock,
Tears fall for what is no more.
