My deep roots of foundation,
Ripple with anticipation,
The ground is shaking,
Perhaps in awakening?
I tremble and thirst,
And throw in a curse,
Come on then, change,
Unruly upon my range,
Do your worst,
Rule the world,
Strike me down,
What tumbling sounds,
Make my body bleed,
And fruit go to seed,
But I am whole,
You are dust at my feet,
Change does not scare me,
My bones can bend,
My skin can mend,
Send your fire and smoke,
You won't get past my moat,
Send swords, men and flagons,
But prepare for my dragons.
