An emerald butterfly perched,
Upon my shoulder without a lurch,
She looked at me with giant spheres,
And told me all that she feared,
"I am such a little thing, you see,"
She fluttered her wings at me,
"If I say I love you, will you take me away?"
"Someplace to keep and treasure each day?"
I looked at the little fragile thing,
And the dark green spirals on her wing,
"As much as you are beautiful," said I,
"I daren't steal you away from the sky."
