Falling Upwards

Demons sail past my ears,
Screaming unheard screams,
I drift from one colour to another,
As if floating in a dream,
The rocks beneath my feet melt,
They shift from blue to black,
My eyes are closed with longing,
As I wait for the demons to attack,
But no, they never touch,
Never even move a hair,
Why torment my existence,
It's like they don't even care,
Jump from this rock,
Tumble into the grey,
The meaningless caress,
Of a world that doesn't stay,
I'm falling upwards from above,
Swirling in a lovers abyss,
Where a kiss to save me,
My soul would reminisce.
