My face has changed since I left,
Perhaps reflecting my heart's new cleft,
My eyes have lost their shine,
Perhaps because of hands no longer entwined,
My mouth is not turned up at the sides,
Perhaps because I've lost you to confide.
My face doesn't look like mine anymore,
Not since I left out the back door,
Losing you has changed me,
A featureless face is my lonely plea.
