Forgive Me

Raindrops fall in ribbons from my eyes,
A gentle trickle of a flood in disguise,
Won't you hold me, forgive me,
Hear my pitiful plea?
Look past the rainbows and the joy,
Set out amongst the doves to destroy,
As a white feather falls to misted ground,
Without a word or whisper of a sound,
You found my honest heart beating
Within a moment, so quick and fleeting,
Who will hold me as I float beneath the ice?
Within the treasure of this rotten splice,
As all is ripped from the tangled web,
The strings in my heart that pulse and ebb,
A silver spider that ties us as one, just one,
In a crowd now so thin, it's just begun,
Forgiveness, my plea,
As my kiss holds eternity.
