The left caught up with the right
I got left between the night
Right inside of nothingness
Centred beside the darkness
One hit more sideways
Tilting my equilibrium
Rushing down a freeway
Seething with the delirium
Twirling on the brim of decisions
My heart beats west when my head falls east
I scream an awful gut wrenching screech
All becomes frozen still and hushed
In the middle sentenced by love
Settle down my weary heart
Rest my body down to rust
I'm running away to begin at the start
My soul feels cold and oozes apart
I don't fully deserve what I've got
I'll continue to unravel my knots
Sifting through the embers of hope
My soul igniting from the words we spoke
