There a few things you should know,
Like how to survive flying through snow,
As bitter wind bites your face,
While tough wings beat at a steady pace,
Your gloved hands grip tightly,
Commands should be issued politely,
Because dragons are fickle things,
I even know one rider that sings,
The summer is easy,
Blue skies, open, a little breezy,
Lush green earth below,
Winds tend to be slow,
But as the temperature rises,
Be prepared for surprises,
Scales burn hot like the sun,
But updrafts can be fun,
Feel your dragon laugh,
As he treasures every draft,
Winter is often cold and hard,
Battling the wind to gain every yard,
Ice will cut like daggers through butter,
And screams can only be heard as a mutter,
But some days are refreshing bliss,
A clear electric blue sky, no mist,
Just you and your dragon up high,
There is simply no other way to fly.
