Just the way I am

Sneakers, t-shirt, jeans and hoodie,
not trying to impress as you can see.
Just being myself and doing my own thing.
I don't need romance or a diamond ring.
I'm my own person and I have my own style.
I've been through pain and insanity so vile.
I felt so hopeless for so
so long,
and yet I'm still here singing a merry song.
Don't try to be popular, don't try to be cool.
Was always "the nerd" and "the freak show" in school.
Forever the daydreamer with an imagination so great.
Living in a world full of love and hate.
Some say I'm crazy,
but they just don't understand.
I may be different,
but that's just the way I am.
