Jar Of Souls

There goes another one, it slowly slips away,
It got lost like so many before, it simply lost it's way.

You pulled it from it's path, with your whispers and your taunts,
Spiteful comments hovered, it's fragile nature haunt.

Misleading so many, with your spiteful little words,
You must be more gentle, as if you held a bird.

So I go around watching, with my jar full of souls,
To rescue those damaged, so they can achieve their goals.

Then when they are ready, I'll set each one free,
They've learnt not to listen, to just simply be.

But usually I find that, many souls return,
Words of kindness and care, is what they really yearn.

For where they have come from, they are taunted and mocked,
They feel trapped within self loathing, in their twisted logic locked.

So I scoop them up gently, while they unleash their broken cries,
I whisper to them tenderly, and tell them it's all lies.

So until the day comes, where we speak love and not hate,
I must collect those lost souls, it is my fate.

So I beg dear child, think before you speak,
Each one of you is beautiful, wonderfully unique.
