I lay in bed all curled up tight when an angel came and kissed me goodnight.
She told me I need have no fears, that she'd be here to dry my tears.
She cradled me in her warm embrace, I searched so hard to see her face.
She promised I need never worry, that when I'm scared she'll come in a hurry.
When the angel was sure she had cleared my dismay, she knew in her heart there was no need to stay.
And now I know in times of fright, my angel will come and kiss me goodnight.
