The Wedding Shop

Chapter 38:

I held my breath as the wings of the plane lifted above the ground. I had to get away from it all, that was the only way I could recollect myself from everything that had happened. My mum had kindly offered to look after the shop whilst I was away, and I could tell she enjoyed keeping herself busy. As for me, well, I wanted adventure, excitement, to let my mind be free from all the stresses back home.

I hadn't been in touch with Jasmine, and it was better that way. She was busy with her child and I needed to get my life back on track. I could understand why she was upset, but at that point, I didn't really care. I had my own problems; I still cared about her deeply, but we needed a break, and I was fine with that.

I hadn't a clue what I was going to do on my travels, all I had planned was a hotel room and return flights. In a way, that made my adventures more exciting. I could relax and enjoy getting away from the world I was so used to.

I peeped out the window, fluffy clouds gliding me over the horizon. The thought of the magical city filled me with anticipation; New York. I couldn't wait.
