Tpek smiled. His submarine, an ancient contraption found in some mysterious ruins Tpek had found while fighting for his life in a violent game of death - the Opuss Battle Royale.
He looked through his periscope back at the island. He saw the fighters assembling, readying for the final battle: soldiers-grim and ready to die, sadists-full of mad zeal, demons-full of evil magic that could turn a mans muscles against his bones, and the assassins-cruel and calculating and waiting for the right moment to strike. The most depressing sight of all to Tpek were the cowards, huddling together like cattle, poised to flee (it may be interesting to point out that Tpek was no coward. He was opportunistic, often greedy, inclined to fight dirty but no coward. Tpek was a survivor).
After the fighters assembled, they began drawing their weapons. Tpek thought that a crazy looking madman wielding two blades flashing with lightning was about to attack when the submarine shook. Tpek looked around the sea wildly, trying to find the source of the earthquake. Then he saw it - a @Seamonster, a great leviathan crashing its way up through the water. It sent a tidal wave at the island, washing the fighters into the Ocean. After that the monster's tail crashed into his sub, rolling it over and over. The ancient device, made of wood, stone and what appeared to be ivory, started leaking water. Tpek knew he was done for and opened the hatch, in a desperate bid to reach the surface. But the pressure of the water was too strong. He felt as if his head would implode. The last thing he saw before he lost consciousness was a symbol he recognised. A circle with a slash through the centre. It could only mean one thing. He was Hellbound.
