Rain In May

Have you ever felt lost like a child in a city?

When each pair of shoulders looked exactly like mum's?

That panic sets in and you start to get anxious.

Heart begins pounding, ears beat like drums.

I must say these days I'm used to the town,

Walking from suburbs in the cold and the rain,

The bus stops at half ten, 8 in the winters.

Children throw rocks through the windscreen again.

You may even live in a place like my home,

Where a kid might just stab you for a pair of your shoes,

I think of the city and I'm drained with exhaustion,

Sometimes this place really gives me the blues

Close To Paradise

I live in a place that's close to paradise. We get all the beauty, but we still have the vice. Many who visit, feel the need to remain. They love the sleaze but for the beauty they'll not abstain.

Whore

Yes that's what they call me. But it's really only a living. We all do something for money. Just wish they'd be more forgiving. The only thing I was ever good at. Not much at school but not thick.
