If I were a mouse, you'd be my cheese.
If I were honey, you'd be my bee.
If I was stranded in the middle of the sea,
You'd be the one to come and rescue me.

If I were a spoon, you'd be my fork.
If I were a baby, you'd be my stork.
If I were trapped under a car,
You'd pull me out and stand me up on the tar.

If I were an addict, you'd be my drug.
If I were a kiss, you'd be my hug.
If I were a cloud, you'd be the one holding me up from the ground.

If I were tea, you'd be my chai.
If I were a shirt, you'd be my tie.
If I were a princess stuck in a room, you'd be my prince, my rescuer, my groom.

If I were paper, you'd be my glue.
But since I'm a poet, you are my muse.
