Lydia was falling down.
It had become eerily silent inside the tornado. Lydia's body was numb. She knew she was falling, but she didn't know where. There was no where else she could go. She was suffocating in here. And Gavin wasn't with her to comfort her.
Lydia grew claustrophobic. She had only been in here for minutes, but it felt like hours.
The air around her grew cold. Lydia closed her eyes, afraid. Her heart was racing. What was going on?
Suddenly, Lydia hit the ground with a thump. She opened her eyes. There was no tornado. She wasn't even outside. She was in a room.
A crowd of people were staring at Lydia. They all appeared to be young. Who were they?
All of a sudden, a person pushed his way through the crowd and knelt down beside Lydia.
"You're alive," Gavin whispered in her ear.
"Mgnmm." Lydia nodded, lying on her stomach. She slowly stood up and looked around the room. Gavin pulled her into a quick hug, but kept his arm around her.
"Who are these guys?" Lydia asked.
"We're just like you." a petite girl said, stepping forward. "We're escaping too."
