Shouldn't I Care?

I'm alien to politics
A fault I admit
No knowledge of the government
No interest in it

I am not alone
In this state of ignorance
There is an army of me's
An uninformed regiment

There must be a reason
We just don't give a fuck
Nobody tried to reach us
No bait or even hook

Shouldn't we care
Isn't it important information
Shouldn't they have tried
To engage our attention

Or is it that they want us
Staying blind to what they do
They can get away with murder
Without us having a clue
