Mary the queen of scots and Elizabeth queen of England were cousins. Mary wanted to be queen of England so plotted to kill her cousin and take over England.
Elizabeth found out and arrested her but Mary sent codes to her loyal subjects to kill Elizabeth but Elizabeth found out about them and beheaded Mary.
Unfortunately they used a blunt axe and it took 3 hits to behead her. It is said that her lips moved for 15 minutes after she died.
