Dallas

In a city where twisted steel and poured concrete as well as nature collide, I am always moved by the feeling of pride when a single act of humanity exists!
I sit here in the park
And watch the passerbys,
I'm seemingly uninterested,
When really I do care;
I watch from my seat at the characters who glide by,
Walking to work or from,
Mothers with children and dads with their dogs;
It's amazing to see how in such a dog eat dog city,
It's not so uncommon for strangers to pass one another and utter a simple hello or yield a slight smile!
For these are my peers,
The ones who I live alongside;
Names unknown, titles not needed, and yet when we join in this park,
I am moved by the uncommon beauty and grace
and I definately do not hesitate,
To proudly state,
This is is my place, our place,,
An inspiration throughout the United States
DALLAS! King of our great and majestic state!

I'm not quite sure how to describe it, so I'll just call it a habit. I can't remember how it started but I also don't seem to be able to stop it.
