Everywhere you turn something bad is hapening. Poverty, war, rape, murder, hunger, heartbreak, you name it we've got it. All the negative stuff makes people want the postitive stuff even more. They search for it, crave it. And it's there, we know it's there. Because where there's bad there's good, where there's dark there's light.
On an earth where things can go tragically wrong, people like to call it magic when something goes inexplicably undeniably perfect.
What is it when a man who has been unemployed for years suddenly becomes a billionare after a single job offer? Magic.
How do you explain a terminally ill childs recovery when it's parent cannot afford dinner the next night? Magic.
A woman who was depressed and suicidal but then saw her highschool sweetheart after a decade? Magic.
Not everyone would call it magic though, more realistic people would call it luck. Practical beings would call it fate, and religious communities would call it the work of their god.
So what is it? Is it magic? Fate? God?
We have to decide for ourselves, don't we? But do we want to? Do we want to rely on the childish thought of magic just to make life easier, and not question what happens in our simple life? There are too many unanswered questions, that people today feel the need to try and answer, when I guess we should be accepting it. Magic is all around us, in different forms. Whether it is god, or fate, or luck, it's magic. Magic can't be defined as spells and witchcraft, it can be defined as the little things that happen all around us. But only if you believe in the magic.
