My 100 Followers Speech

Ahem:

Hi.

I'm not really sure what to write here. I just realized I have 100 followers exactly, which I totally did not expect. Ever.

And before I say anything, I'd really like to thank the Academy...
My wonderful Opussians, who have stood by my side through writer's block after writer's block, who never lost hope in me and always believed that one day I would amount to something big.

And well, here I am.

I started out as writing poetry in my free time, you know, on the bus to school or at boring family meetings. But writing has become a part of me now, and even though I'm Mexican, I'd like to thank all my excellent poets out there who inspire me to write day after day.

A special mention to my dear @racheljadecoates, my 100th follower!
Thanks for everything, you guys, you're amazing and all woderful writers and I really enjoy being part of this big family we like to call Opuss.

Thank you to my mother, whose grounding and room-sending inspired many a poem from frustrated teenager me, and my father, because he taught me English so many years ago.

And my sister, because... Well, just because.
