Part 6:
Elli's POV
I took a step in but could not help but look back but he was not there. "Ah you must Miss Powell, nice of you to decide to join us. Class this is Elizabeth our newest member, I am Mr. Price your English teacher, choose a seat in the back." There were seven rows and there were five desks in each row. I walked over to a desk by a window but some kid set his bag there as if he were saving it for someone so I sat in front of it leaving an empty desk between the kid and I. I look through my bag to grab my books out but loss focus as I stared outside. One thing that Michigan does have is constant weather changes I giggled to myself. "Look who decided to come to class!" I heard Mr. Price exclaimed. I turned to see Silas facing Mr. Price, smiling as he told him why he was late. "After I showed her to her class I went to grab my backpack from my locker oh well look she's right there!." He then turned to me and winked. I looked away feeling my cheeks slowly turn a rosy red. I bent back down to rummage through my bag or at least act like I needed to.
Silas's POV
As she bent over to look through her bag I stood there and watched. "Mr. Hawkens, what is so fascinating outside the window that you must look at it huh? Take a seat." I went to sit down behind her and notice she was still looking through her bag. "You don't have to hide anymore your cheek aren't as red like it was a minute ago" I laughed. "Ha too bad for you I was looking for this! She pulled that English book out onto her desk. I laughed and winked at her. All I could do was watch her all hour. Looking at the way she would react to his lessons or just what he would say. I giggled to myself as she leaned on her arm and fell asleep.I kicked her desk and she jumped. "Told you I was going to a boring class" I whispered. She giggled and we both laughed.
We only had like twenty minutes left but little did I know. This was going to be the longest twenty minutes of my life. My I felt the urge of my wings. I started to sweat. "Mr. Price, can I use the bathroom please?" I said nervously. "Mr. Hawkens, you came to my class late, I understand that you had to show a new student around but still it should not have taken that long." he replied smartly. "Mr. Price, please I have to go sir!" My back began to crack. "Alright alright go ahead." he said. "Thank you sir!" I ran out quick forgetting my bag.
*Elli's POV
I have never seen someone so anxious to use the bathroom as Silas, I giggled to myself. That guy is really weird. I turned around to see his bag on his desk. I grabbed it so I could give it to him. Underneath it was a sketch pad. He draws?.. Wow I would have never guessed. On the first page were eyes. Shaded from all sorts of grays and blacks. His next drawing were of faces. Some sad and others happy. The composition on his drawings were honestly outstanding I thought. I continually flipped through the pages and were just dumbfounded by them. Some abstract and others realistic. Some were shaded and others colored. There was one picture that he drew that made me just wonder why? He drew what looked like to be a man with the back facing the observer. He was the focal point and or he drew in the foreground of it all. He was crouching at the ground but his back was bleeding and what seemed to be two slits on his shoulder blades. Feathers grew out of them. Not all the way but just looking at the drawing you could tell the person was in pain. I wondered what it was about and as I was going to flip the next page the bell rang and I jumped.
