Like a bird in a cage I try to escape,
From emotional torture my biggest mistake,
I'm trapped will someone come let me free,
I'm flapping like the bird but not so effortlessly,
Confined by the metal restraints,
Iron solid, unbreakable, covered with jaded paint,
Inside I sit on the wooden perch,
Made out of old wooden twisted silver birch,
No one is letting me out,
They try to release me but they can't what's all that about?
The fog that wraps around my thoughts like a mist,
Slowly dissipates no longer persists.
The cage is no longer there,
The way I feel no longer compares,
I'm free like the bird I want to be,
Soaring from the sky finally I'm free.
From the clouds I soar I'm free,
That's where dreams become reality!
