He came to me and asked "Why does no one want to play with me?"
My mind drew a blank
In that instant my heart sank
Society had been reduced to this
Daniel pulled on my hand..."What's wrong Miss?"
I wiped away a single tear
Took Daniel's hand in a bid to rid any fear
"Some people are blissfully ignorant
It is what becomes of being blinkered and arrogant"
After half an hour on the merry go round
Spinning around and around, standing up and falling back to the ground
I realised there was a smile for the first time on Daniel's face
It dawned on me society is a cruel place
But there are people amongst us with strength and courage
Who stand up tall and proud ... This is something WE ALL should encourage.

@sammielee46 every teachers worst nightmare is to see any child standing alone, let alone when they are alone because of judgemental attitudes x
@sara_lou this is beautiful honey :) a very emotional write. It's parents of the said children that have imposed their judgemental attitudes on them!! Thank you sweetheart โค๐
@sammielee46 not a problem I focused heavily on inclusion and SEN as part of my training... A change in attitudes is what is needed x
