A line I wrote before my tears silenced my voice
Too young to die
Too pure to die
I just want to know why?
Mothers are in pain
We are holding them
Trying to stay sane
They wanna know if their kids died in vain
Is it worth all this pain
Are we gonna walk to another grave tomorrow again?
Screams filled with tears is all that is now
But we can still hear him say
"I will die for my country to that I vow"

I wrote this one for my class.
I wrote a letter to express my love, Ill care for you dearly even if I am doing so from above, I wrote these words in hope you'd never read them, But what did we expect when I entered this battle...
The bombs the bullets. The bodies that fall. The broken the battered. The fodder of war. The young and the brave. Are borrowed to battle. They fall to their fate. With the bullets that rattle.
The fields covered in vibrant red. Too many have lost their lives, Are dead. Deafening gunfire has just ceased, Man proven once again to be the beast.
Snow flakes gently falling On a battle ridden field, Christmas eve their lives were taken Their fate finally sealed.

This is so sad Sarah, it so hard to be a mother when her children go before her. You might see the Opuss I posted a couple of days ago called "The Hero" by Siegfried Sassoon. 😰😰😰
