Somewhere
Whereby dogs be waiting wildly
A cool breeze bending grass blades mildly
There you'll find me playing childly
And when at last I pause to ponder
All those people passing yonder
And wonder where at last they wander
Or why in fact they go
A mystery
It seems to me
Why they should always want to be
Forever somewhere else
Or Someone else
With something else
Unable to be simply by themself
Or else
They'll die
But who am I
To wonder why
And why should I
Insignificant beneath the endless sky
And once again I'm pressed
Pressed down against the Earth
Contemplating my own worth
And condemning my own birth
What value then
To live this way until the end
And so at once I must suspend
All this wasted thought
And I'll go back again to playing
And to consuming without paying
And forget what I was saying
Somewhere
