Two little dicky birds sitting on a wall
One quite short and the other quite tall
Although they were different their hearts were as one
For they loved each other as much as anyone
Spring in the air, a-nesting they must go
Gathering twigs and bits of fluff and going with the flow
Ready for pale blue eggs to nurture and mature.
Babies new and fluffy, hungry mouths to feed
As life rushes swiftly on, in a whirlwind and a blur.
