I sat at night and listened to the mournful sounds
Watching the people all rushing around
Where do you need to be 5 minutes ago?
Have I been there and are you someone I should know?

I picked up my iRemote device and paused the world around me

No sights, sounds, chaos or distractions
I manoeuvred around in eager anticipation
Crackling eggs shells under foot upon broken ground
I watched as a tear from life's beauty fell down
Or was it a star, fallen, earth bound?

Angels pick me up and guide me home
I'm so cold out here on my own
Take me far where love is known
Where I'm content to rest my bones

The heavens opened and lightning flashed
Thunder echoed and the wind thrashed
I felt her sorrow and her pain
Surveyed the situations inside my brain

I was out chasing shadows that stare
Hidden away from all of life's fears
The gargoyles of the cathedral sang a new tune
Of feelings and emotions, in unison

No more wi-fi broadband signal
Only feelings left in neutral

I retraced my footsteps back to your warm heart
Loves got me drenched and falling apart
Dose me up with your medical cure
Overdose me, you're angelic and pure
